Jeff Kimbell, President and CEO of Kimbell & Associates presented at the AECOS (American-European Congress of Ophthalmic Surgery) Summer Symposium in Park City, Utah.

Each year, AECOS brings together leading ophthalmic surgeons, innovators, and industry executives from around the world to discuss the latest advances shaping the future of eye care and vision technology.

Kimbell's presentation focused on the 2026 midterm election outlook and the evolving federal policy landscape affecting ophthalmology. It explored recent developments at the FDA, including the upcoming reauthorization of the Medical Device User Fee Amendments (MDUFA), and what these changes could mean for the development, review, and patient access to innovative ophthalmic technologies.

The symposium also brought together many Kimbell & Associates clients, including BioTissue, Harrow, Rayner, and STAAR Surgical, and to engage with physicians, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders who are driving innovation in vision care.
