Allison Itz serves as Manager of Health and Reimbursement Policy at Kimbell & Associates, where she provides strategic policy analysis and reimbursement support to clients in the life sciences sector.
At K&A, Allison monitors and interprets federal health policy developments, with a focus on drug pricing reform and evolving reimbursement policy. She closely follows implementation of the Inflation Reduction Act’s drug pricing provisions, Most-Favored-Nation drug pricing initiatives, and related regulatory and stakeholder activity to provide clients with timely, actionable insights. Her work also encompasses Medicare payment and coverage policy, diagnosis coding, and reimbursement landscape assessments that inform product planning and policy strategy.
Prior to joining K&A in 2022, Allison gained experience in health policy, government affairs, and advocacy through her work with the EveryLife Foundation for Rare Diseases, Texas Star Alliance, and the Office of Congressman John Carter (TX-31).
Allison earned a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in Political Science and Communication, with a minor in Criminal Justice, from the George Washington University. During her studies, she conducted original research on end-of-life healthcare policy and communication frameworks for resource allocation in homeless communities.
Outside of the office, Allison enjoys exploring antique and farmers' markets in Washington, D.C., and visiting her family in Austin, Texas.
