Allison Itz
Allison Itz serves as a Manager of Health & Reimbursement Policy at Jeffrey J. Kimbell & Associates, where she provides strategic policy analysis and reimbursement support to clients in the life sciences sector. Allison monitors and interprets federal health policy developments, with a focus on drug pricing reform and reimbursement policy implementation.
She closely follows the evolving landscape of drug pricing reform, including implementation of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) programs, Most-Favored-Nation (MFN) drug pricing, and related regulatory and stakeholder activities, to deliver timely insights to clients. Her work also includes developing and submitting ICD-10 diagnosis coding applications, monitoring the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission’s (MedPAC) policy recommendations to Congress, preparing for Advisory Panel on Hospital Outpatient Payment (HOP Panel) meetings, supporting client pipeline preparation through landscape assessment research, submitting public comments on federal healthcare policy, and summarizing regulatory rulemaking and guidance to provide clear insights for clients.
Prior to joining Kimbell & Associates in 2022, Allison gained policy experience through her work with the EveryLife Foundation for Rare Diseases, the Texas Star Alliance government affairs firm, and the Office of Congressman John Carter (TX-31).
Allison earned her Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, in Political Science and Communication, with a minor in Criminal Justice, from The George Washington University. During her studies, she completed original research on end-of-life healthcare policy and on communication frameworks for resource allocation in homeless communities.
Outside of the office, Allison enjoys exploring antique and farmers’ markets in Washington, D.C., and visiting her family in Austin, Texas.
