Katie Verb
Katie Verb, Vice President, Health and Reimbursement Policy, brings nearly 15 years of policy and advocacy experience, having led policy teams at multiple pharmaceutical companies, developed policy solutions at PhRMA, and led a government affairs team advocating for patients with a rare disease. Most recently Katie was the Head of Policy and Strategic Alliances at Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS). While at BMS, Katie was part of the team that negotiated the maximum fair price (MFP) with CMS for BMS's drug subject to negotiation under the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) in 2025 and led the policy strategy for the MFP negotiation in 2024. Katie led a team of federal and state policy subject matter experts responsible for ensuring coverage, access, and reimbursement across all public and private payers, as well as the Alliance team. Prior to joining BMS, Katie was the Head of Policy at Horizon Therapeutics and a member of the policy team at PhRMA, responsible for multiple issues including Medicare Part B and cell & gene therapy policy. Katie began her career in health policy at the Hemophilia Federation of America, leading the government affairs team that advocated for patients with hemophilia. Katie has a J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Loyola University Chicago.
